Pink Preserved Flowers in Vase

✿ What are sola wood flowers? Sola wood is the fibre from a specific type of tapioca called "shola" pith plant, hence "solawood". The fibre is processed and dyed before being shaped into a variety flowers by craftsmen. Each solawood flower is tied and shaped by hand.

✿ How are sola wood flowers different from preserved flowers? Preserved flowers are the actual real flowers that have been chemically preserved. A closer comparison with solawood flowers would be paper flowers.

✿ So which one last longer? Solawood flowers can retain their colour better. While preserved flowers can last up to 3 years or even longer, they require dry environment conditions. Otherwise, their petals may become droopy, transparent and colour fade when placed in a very humid environment with strong sunlight. In comparison, solawood flowers are unbothered by extreme humidity or prolonged sunlight exposure.
